One of my passions in the furniture business is working with start up and expanding churches. I love hearing the vision of the church and where they are taking their ministry. However, to get to that vision most times that equates into some sort of building or meeting facility.

That in turn equates to the need for seating.

When specifying church seating I like to make sure that it is quality workmanship,has a reliable warranty and on time delivery. Of course, not to be overlooked and one of the main things that drives any purchase is the price. Now in the past it has been hard to find church seating that has all of those elements. You could find the quality, maybe even the warranty and delivery but not the price. Something had to suffer. To get the price needed to meet budget for start up churches and building expansions you had to settle for an inexpensive import and hope that the seating comes in on time and that there won’t be any issues with the quality when you get it.

Well no more!

I am happy to say when I was looking for church seating recently for the church I attend,that I found a better alternative that has it all. Multi Function Furniture and Space Solutions in Church Interiors

I received a phone call recently from a church that was expanding and needed help with their furniture and interior needs. He explained that the church was growing rapidly and they needed to expand the interior space but that for budget purposes they needed to use several of the areas for multiple functions. The interior would be office space by day and used for an educational space by night.

Now this posed several issues.

Because of budget and interior storage limitations the furniture needed to be in the same room and be able to be used for office furniture and educational furniture.
The furniture needed to be able to quickly shift into multiple arrangements.
There needed to be individual spaces that could be locked to protect information .
They needed visual board and tackable capabilities for educational needs and video projection.

So what is the solution?

I chose a line of furniture that could solve all of the above issues. I used Kimball Traxx system where I could line the wall with a credenza like appearance but also create overhead lockable storage as well as a multi file below. With the Traxx system I was able to give a seamless appearance with the tackable panels and a visual display board that could be used as a marker board or projection screen. The tackable panels could be used by day for the office and at night for educational purposes. Because I was able to hang the work surfaces on the Traxx system with mimimal support I was able to save money because I didn’t need full freestanding furniture.

I also used the Kimball mobile Array table against the extended wall credenzas. The tables were used for their laptops and workspace during office time but were able to be rearranged in to a more training and educational groupings at night. We brought in the Kimball Event chair to complete the solution, which could easily stack on a dolly until time for use.

There you have it.

All the furniture in one space and ready to be used for multiple interior functions.

Office by day Classroom by night.
